A couple of weeks ago, I sat in awe and disgust as I watched the University of Missouri's football team boycott in response to various acts of racial hatred on campus. I was disgusted that these students were still dealing with vestiges of blatant discrimination (and most likely unchallenged bias) at a time in their lives where they are innocently developing their identities. I was in awe that the football team--the monetary athletic artery of most colleges--stood united in their boycott.
